Panthera's Journal  We can has house. Phew. Edit: This one. We need to get the checks for the bond and rent tomorrow and then go in to sign the lease. Current mood: awake. So this is me at work. On Sunday. Theoretically to do the backlog typing for the long weekend so it doesn't all hit on Monday. It's a nice theory, but given that it's 1.45 Sunday afternoon and nothing from Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning has yet been dictated, the signs do not bode well. I don't even know which doctor is supposed to be doing the dictation. I've collated all the unreported requests and filed them in the 'to do' box. Been up to the caf and had lunch. Talked to Sally. Now I'm blogging. Gr. I'm so very not walking all the way home then coming back again later. What I might do is just 'clock-off' and do some of the writing I would be doing if I were home. Then when the work starts coming through I'll 'clock-on' again and put that as my actual start-time. That sounds more than fair to me. Edit: Except for the part where I finally left at 4.30, still with no work having come through. Sigh. Current mood: awake. In Australia, April 25th is ANZAC Day; the anniversary of the Australian and New Zealand troops landing at Gallipoli. Just one campaign, long ago in the midst of a very big war, but it means something to us. Here - Read about it. Current mood: Quiet. Prince William lands helicopter in backyard. I think we like this guy. Current mood: amused. Dear Real Estate People; Get A Fucking Move On. It's been 4 days now, and I 'd like to know if we have the house or if I have to do legwork again this weekend. Or, if I want to be dramatic, I'd like to know if we have, like, a roof over our heads yet. Thanks awfully. ~ Me. Current mood: annoyed. Those following my A-Team fic, there's an extension on part two of 'Close Contact' (it was too short :p). Hopefully another chapter will happen tonight. In summary - poor Face. I think I've found that AT-esque 'funny' that I was missing in this one. Indy and Methos are being Penguins. I do not need Penguins. I need to re-post some of my old stories. Does anyone want to see my old(er) fannish artwork? ... Why do real estate agents never fricking well ring me back? Current mood: Twitchy. The muses are getting chocolate. They're not coming up with anything OMG fabulous, but at least they're trying. Current mood: awake. Or rather, I think I'll need the Republic Army. See, around the place here we have some plastic storage crates - nifty, stackable things with wheels built in underneath. I love 'em. My plan is to use as many of them as possible when we move so they can be wheeled rather than carried, they're less likely to have the bottoms fall out of 'em mid-move and also can just be stacked somewhere until we get around to unpacking them. So where's the problem? I have a spare one here and thought I'd start off early; we haven't a place yet, but it wouldn't hurt to start packing non-essentials, right? In this case, my DVD box sets. Again, no problem, except for the bit where I've completely filled the crate and only around 1/3 of the collection is in there. ... ... Neeext? Current mood: Oops.. Well. Woo. IJ. I don't know how much use this journal's going to get, but I needed one to keep up with friends who've moved, and hopefully I've gotten in between mass exodi from LJ.
